These letters are intended to encourage you and to provide you with “snapshots of information” which should help you in your journey towards your best health and life style.
Let’s keep it real… if you were truly looking to change something about yourself … it would have been done already!
In this 5th volume, my letter will be a look at “your starting point”.
Everyone has a starting point. For example, you probably have your driver’s license. You probably thought, as most of us did, “I’ll never be able to drive! The test is difficult… etc.” How did you get over these negative thoughts? You made a decision to commit to take the steps necessary to meet your goal. You applied yourself, prepared yourself, and made time to put in the effort required to accomplish what you thought you couldn’t.
The same goes with your health… your life… one small change at a time will give you the confidence you need to continue making small changes n a healthy way. This does not mean you must “give up what you love”. Start with adjusting your food portions. Also, don’t be afraid to look for help! We cannot do it alone, although you may hear programs say so.
The FFXP TEAM is committed to promote Health & Wellness awareness to everyone, not just children or seniors or women or disabled … to everyone! To provide you with the knowledge and understanding through the tools available to you through the FFXP trainers, and staff alike! All you need to do is seek your starting point…check yourself, where are you? What are you doing? What would you prefer to be doing? How are you feeling? What are your habits? Answer these questions, and decide… Do I want to stay here? Do I want to keep/kick this habit? Stand tall and for yourself, and tell yourself daily, “I can do this!!! Start here: Get up 15 minutes earlier, and give yourself those 15 minutes to have a conversation with yourself. Be positive, say “Thank you Lord for waking me up this morning”… start there…
Training: The FFXP training program is uniquely developed to work for you and your busy schedule. What are you looking to achieve? We can help you with that! Need help setting your goals? We can help you with that! Need someone to motivate you and keep you motivated? We can help you with that too!!! All you need is 3 days a week, 30 minutes each day. Trust me, THIS WORKS! Tempted? Food For Thought: The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don’t want, drink what you don’t like, and do what you’d rather not.” ~Mark Twain
Word of Encouragement: 1 Corinthians 9:25
“Every athlete exercises discipline in every way. They do it to win a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one.”
Discipline is critical for success in both your spiritual life and in a fitness program. Try keeping a journal to chart your progress. You can use one section to log your exercise goals and accomplishments and another to record your spiritual aspirations and successes.
