Interview with the Expert: Holistic Care


At The FFXP, we employ trainers who use a wide variety of techniques. Holly Dixon is our Pain Management and Holistic Care Consultant. Using natural techniques is something we advocate strongly for; medicine is overused to help with weight loss and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

We talked to Holly about Holistic Care and essential oils. Here’s what she had to say:

What techniques do you use for pain management? Why?

I have had chronic pain for 4 years in my spine, neck, hands, and feet. In order to manage it effectively, I use a wide variety of techniques. Specific exercises, yoga, and nutrition are key to keeping the body moving and releasing natural pain relief while minimizing inflammation through nutrition. I also use Deep Blue Rub (daily) and a variety of Essential Oils topically, diffused, and internally to help with inflammation and stress management.

What is Holistic Care? What is involved in living a holistic lifestyle?

Holistic care is a natural way of managing the body overall. It means using products, foods, and/or practices (such as massage, acupuncture, yoga, reiki, meditation, etc.) that come from the earth and are natural ways to help the body heal and rebuild. Living a holistic lifestyle takes a lot of education and effort, but it is all worth it!

What population do you specialize in?

I specialize in coaching women who are looking to become pain free emotionally, physically, and mentally. My goal is to help women feel better holistically while breaking barriers to live the life they desire.

What are some benefits of essential oils?

Essential oils are produced from plants grown in their natural habitat that are used for healing and supporting the body. For hundreds of years they have been used in skin care, digestion, pain management, inflammation management, alleviating headaches, and many more purposes. A huge benefit is that they help support the immune system and have no negative side effects!
